Default Camping set up JKU Rubi

So I have had the JKU set up for camping/touring for when I take a van, trailer or RTT. Decided to make yet another modification so that I can sleep in it. This is about the 5th time I have modified the back. I have attached some photos. Yes, I know, some paint is needed but I managed to re-use/re-purpose a lot of bits and pieces: hence it looks a mishmash. But I quite like it so there!

Sorry, no dog. Even the cats won't ride with me. The missus neither!

I am waiting for better weather to try out the bed... it is a bit squishy at the leg end but normal caravan mattress width at the top.I am wanting eventually to get along the Connie Sue from Cocklebiddy to Warburton and then cross the Canning Stock route to get onto the WAPET track. From there I want to get to Kalumburu and Beagle Bay and Honeymoon Bay areas. Could take my trailer with me but not wanting to fix things that break when I am on the wallaby. Had enough of that. Plus need to consider fuel usage and costs... ULP is $1.85 here so I would hate to think what I would be paying out in the back blocks. I remember paying $3/litre at Kunawaritje a number of years ago when petrol was $1/litre.

Wow. But you don't have far to go!

When I was in England on sabbatical years ago (stayed in Sheffield) the locals thought I was nuts if I took a train somewhere on an hour trip. Or went more than 10 miles sightseeing.

Some people had told me that they had never been so far from their home. True!! They wondered if I had to pack a lunch box. Here of course you can travel 80-100 km before you get to another town, with nothing but a few kangaroos (dead and all) in between.

And, they all wanted most commonly to know if we all lived in homes like on "Neighbours", did we all have a swimming pool in our back yards, did kangaroos really roam our street, was the sky always so blue, and do we all hate aboriginals?

And anyway, why would you want a Jeep Wrangler in Great Britain? More like need tomato sauce and a fork to travel the spaghetti map of roads throughout Britain. Great roads though! And trains.

Well I like to get out and about, plus there's not that many Wranglers on the road over here so stands out among all the Land Rovers.
Fuel is still a bloody rip off as the road tax is a climate con.
