Just got a generic DVD head unit with kicker amp and speakers. Works awesomely and has built in gps and all the other bells and whistles.

No I didn't mean 2.5 inch suspension lift... I'm going to get a 2 inch suspension lift as well but if I get defected its much easier and cheaper to remove a body lift. So I'll have a total of 4.5 inches of lift. Not ideal but best I can do and try conform to the laws (a little).

Still deciding on front bar but want the KMC Rockstar rims LED bar and sliders to go on.

Then armor up the underneath of my baby as well.

Yeah I've got one. They are a heavy piece of kit though, at around 70 kg all up (Bar, winch plate, grill hoop and skid plate). So with a winch it's around 110 kg hanging off of the nose. The AEV springs have coped well with it though.
The Warn powdercoating is pretty average and I've had mine recoated. I wasn't happy with the attention that the forward sweep of the grill hoop would gain so I had that cut off and reattached with a rearward slope. It's a mid width bar but haven't had any issues or undue attention.

Cheers

Jas

I'm a bit of a newby to the accessories at the moment. Is 55-65kg the ideal weight for a bumper? I've had my eyes stuck on the AEV and arb, but keeping my options open.

Is yours the elite series Jasper?

The lighter you can go and achieve the level of protection you are after is the go.

As you've stated you are fairly new to this there is something else to bear in mind. Not all of the bars available are ADR compliant/approved. Some of the coolest looking bars will not pass the test or even some of the ones which would have not been tested. The ADR is for the airbag compatibility, in order to ensure that the bar will not make the airbag timing be off (either early or late) due to the bar being too rigid. In the end it comes down to the level of risk you are willing to accept.

No, not the 'Elite' mine is a Rockcrawler as seen on page one of this thread.

As for weight SeaComms (Dave) found a list of bar weights a few years back. (Dave likes collating info, which is helpful) http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...&postcount=583

hope that helps
