What year is your CRD?
I do not recognise the type of filter head you have...not like my 2002 2.5 CRD Raycor filter head.
The USA members have had lots of issues with their filter heads...non Raycor... and changed them to a different Raycor type.
Anyhow they have had lots of issues with that connector you have shown....it is for the fuel heater....really only meant for cold climates....the contact gets burned and fuel leaks out which is not good and is a fire hazard.
Normal fix is to leave the connector disconnected and to find a good silicone or epoxy glue to patch up the leaking connector housing or to get a special kit to replace the connectors and wiring harness with some improved make.
I would clean off all the diesel around that leaking connector and seal it up with a good epoxy adhesive!
