All BFG are an LT (Light Truck) construction you can get Coopers in LT but not all sizes. I have 255/70 passenger not LT but I have a lift. Passenger tyre will give you a more comforatable ride, LT a firmer. More info to make the decision even harder.

Decisions, Decisions.....
Seeing as my options are a bit limited, I think I will go for the BFG A/T's
I know there are mixed opinions to them, and I guess you'll get that with any brand. 4x4 tyres will always be a compromise, and I wouldn't expect to get great offroad and onroad capability from one tyre. The BFG's seem to wear well, and have a bit more of a lugged sidewall than some of the others, plus the treads have siping which should handle better in the wet than my muddies do (still way better than the stock Goodyears that I only got 20000K out of!).
Thanks for everyones input.
Mikey.

One thing I did hear about the BFG was that they were hard to balance & lots of weights are required. I did notice that on a fellow jeepers car when he got a new set of BFG's. He sold it (the car)so I didnt see how they went long term. In saying that I have also heard of a story that they couldnt balance a set that were only 50% worn, so it was either drive on not quite balanced tyres or buy some new ones.

Coopers recon their tyres are the best thing since sliced bread, just ask them & they will tell you but Im sure you will find some people out there that have had a bad run out of them & will never buy again.... I am not one of them. I am happy so far, I have only done 20K Km.
