Default Central locking

hello fellow jeepers

I have a 08jk that when you unlock the doors only the drivers door will unlock from the fob as well as the inside door locks, you can unlock all the manually, but when i use the fob to look the doors all will lock and it dosent matter how often you push the fob.

I had it at my local dealer today and all i got for $300.00 was a car wash and not evern a good one, they said that they had reprogramed the keys, checked for fault codes (none) and that I should leave the car with them for a hole day so they can keep fault finding.

Any help or ideas would be great

From memory there is a procedure in the handbook that will switch it between unlock only drivers door & all doors. I'll go have a look in a bit.

If I had a Wrangler, I would be driving it with the doors off.

It would be better when going after game, and wild pigs.

Yeah all those wild pigs on the morning commute. Be great to catch some dinner on the way to the office.

I do! (Sort of.) In the warmer months I run tube doors.

In mine, I found that when I was changing the 'doors lock at 15mph' & 'all doors unlock when a front door is opened' settings, that although the book says 'drivers door lock button' I had to use the 'American drivers door lock button' (passenger door) because the right one did nothing. It only worked with the left one.

edit: Just reread the section on the remote unlocking on page 15 and it just uses the fob, so the above is unrelated. I have done this in the past & it did work for me then, but some of the things like this I have had to do multiple times to get the timing just right. Give it another few goes & see if the madness works!

Don't laugh, but only this morning, I was driving down Bourke Road Alexandria near "the grounds", when what did I see?

A big FAT pig being walked along the footpath outside The Grounds in a harness connected to a lead. Probably here for the Easter Show. I thought of your reply post when I saw it .... on my commute to work.

Plenty of bacon. Ham it on....
