Default still love my XJ

so a few months ago i bought a 2011 Grand Cherokee with the 3.6L

and have to say its a great car, love everything about it.

that said my old XJ I've had for over 20 years still brings a huge grin to my face when ever i drive it, got ticked off by the local constable for my 15x8 wheels with 3.75 back spacing and 31 inch tyres hmmm they don't stick out THAT far do they

hahah, spend to much time relaxing in the shed, but then having just past 444,444 km she deserves to take it easy

Emac, I can relate.

I have a 2016 JKU with the 3.6L. Great car, I just love it and it has street and trail presence.

But, if my garage was burning down, and I only had time to remove one of the two cars, it would be the XJ. At 350,000km, it has plenty of life left in it. It has been everywhere and has a lot of long trips it needs to do.

Stock looking (few mods), the designs of its contemporaries have dated poorly in comparison.

I've had my yellow XJ for 14 years this year! I still love it to pieces, but I sure do wish it would stop being so stubborn at times and just run properly!

yep same with me, the XJ has done 1000km in the last 5 months.

so fired her up and went for a spin, just to keep everything circulating.

always brings a grin to my face, 445000 km and 26 years old and still runs beautifully

original engine, head serviced 10 years ago. front and rear diffs changed for 4.10 gears plus CRY 8.25 lsd diff in rear.

still looks great from 20 feet away hahaha

its reclining peacefully in the shed.

the wk2 is taking the load now

but the XJ will always be there

445,000 k's emac. Thats pretty good going. I thought mine was long in the tooth at 325,000. I wonder how many k's you can actually get out of a XJ? Mine is the last car i am ever going to have, so its going to have to do at least a million ha ha...

Cheers,
