Removed the Ironman spring pack from the rear of my XJ. Done less than 1000ks, but had flattened to the point that the two overload leaves had become part of the pack which made it quite harsh. Worked fine until they settled onto the OL leaves. The national Sales Manager advises me that they are designed to work like that. They will replace them if I like, but the new ones will do the same......
Dug out a standard spring pack, which I think came out of a car with about 240,000ks. Bought new plastic pads (thanks AG) and added a set of Add-a-Leafs that I got from Wooders a year or two ago.
Height is nice and ride is nicer.
I have HD shackle relocators in the rear and I now have an easy 4" of lift, with a decent ride.
The front has Ironman coils with 50mm spacers. Need to replace these when I can.
Have Rancho 5000s all round.
