Does anyone have any updates on this? I see GDE isn’t much of a thing anymore, are there any currently available good tuning services that are accessible in QLD, preferably north qld? Either chip tunes, buying the old gde tunes somehow, reflashes that I could do by buying a plug in thing and purchasing a tune, or dyno tune in QLD. I’m not entirely sure how it works for Jeeps especially these days. Also if not, any shops to contact? Also does anyone have any long term or any term experience about how the clutch holds up on the manuals? Mines an 08 JKU diesel.
Thanks

If you have the OM642 diesel, look at KESS on Ebay. It’s a software and hardware package for about $100.
You use a laptop running Windows.
You use it to pull your map out of your cars computer.
You can then email the map to multiple places.
They will email the modified map back.
You then install the tune.

Very easy to use.
I’ve done it on both mine and my daughters WH diesels.
Stage 1 tune with EGR delete and swirl delete was $50.
Takes them 1 hour to do and send back to you.

I use The Tuning Company. Their on Ebay and based in London.
I’ve got pics up in the WH section under Thinking of buying a WH grand Cherokee for my daughter.

Cheers,

I have 08 CRD. I am running a yeti tune. Yeti tune Costs $150 Euro. You have to by KSSS tool from ebay at $120. I asked yeti to make two tunes for me

(1) Factory tune with EGR off
(2) Tune with extra power with EGR off
I always run factory tune with EGR off makes a huge difference to up and go. The tune with extra power makes the jk go faster but fuel consumption is not great, so I only run it when required. Basically, the extra power reduces the need for regearing if you are running larger tires.
