If you want to fight the front plate for the sake of $375, it must be legible from 45° in all directions (http://www5.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/...725/s30.html):

TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT—VEHICLE REGISTRATION) REGULATION 2010 - SECT 30

30 Position, visibility and legibility of number plate
(1) The registered operator of a vehicle must ensure that each number plate issued for a vehicle is permanently attached to the vehicle so that, if the vehicle is on level ground—

(a) the number plate is—
(i) in an upright position parallel to the vehicle's axles; and
(ii) not more than 1.3m above ground level; and
(b) unless an accessory plate is attached to the vehicle in the way required under section 37—the characters on the number plate are visible from 20m away at any point within an arc of 45&#deg; from the surface of the number plate above or to either side of the vehicle, in the way shown in figures 1 and 2 at the end of this section; and
(c) any cover on the number plate—
(i) is clear, clean, untinted and flat over its entire surface; and
(ii) has no reflective or other characteristics that would prevent—
(A) the successful operation of a photographic detection device; or
(B) the number plate from being legible; and
(d) the number plate is in a clearly legible condition, including being clearly legible from any position from which it is required to be visible.
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.

wonder if they would bother you in QLD if you are running a NSW plate, I don't believe they can enforce the QLD regs on a NSW vehicle?

Got an address just across the border I frequent, maybe it is a better option just to register the vehicle in NSW, then I guess I would have to get a NSW license as well athough I am not sure it matters as you are stating the vehicle is housed in NSW, I don't think it matters that you have a QLD license......will have to look into that.

Here in sa you can register a vehicle in your name and keep your interstate licence. You would be telling us tge vehicle is garaged here, not that you live here. 2 different things

One for the rear sway bar being disconnected on one side (from me twisting it ), one for the tyres (which is a "major defect").

So, $750 for number plates, another $350 for tyres (surprised it's not per tyre) and another $120 for swaybar....... $1200 thanks for coming oh and because tyres are considered a major defect now you can't drive it home (less than 1.5km away), fortunately I have mates who drive tow trucks so no issue there other than the bother of waiting.
Where did you get done? Damn thats heavy. What setup do you run
