Jaguar Land Rover is owned by India's Tata Motors. In the case of Volvo, Jaguar and Land Rover it seems their new owners recognize the value of the brand and throw support at their success. Plus they seem to bucketloads of money available to do so.
That said, can't ignore the fact that Chinese ownership has seen MG completely lose it's identity, but to be fair MG was a bit 'lost' before Chinese ownership.
It might be a good thing if it means Jeep are given independence and support from their owner, rather than being acquired by another global giant and limited to being able to build vehicles out of the corporate parts bin.
