I got Apple CarPlay installed. Means I have waze on the main display. Cost about 1000 dollars and the chap came to my house and installed.
Can easily flick from the unconnect to the car play and back again using the red hang up button on the steering wheel

Default How Many different Head Units?

Hi All,

2020 ... and my MY13 JGC OVERLAND has very old maps from original purchase (I purchased from my brother 2 years ago who purchased new ansd SAT NAV has never been updated). Jeep in Canberra have told me $600 to update (and to not shoot the messenger as Jeep USA charges them $550 for the USB - thoughts??).

Can I ask a newbie question? I have read the posts on upgrades and MOUSIE, you are very knowledgeable ... but how do you know when these instructions apply to your head unit? All of those version numbers (14, 15, 16 etc) don't seem to apply to me. I have the following:

UCONNECT SYSTEM INFORMATION: RHP HEAD UNIT
SOFTWARE:
=========
APPLICATION: 2.184
GRACENOTES: 4072
DATABASE: HPT3 - A 1329 4.5.0
SDS: 237246

HARDWARE:
=========
SERIAL NUMBER: T00BE283270354
SYSTEM: 6858 001 4.18
SIRIUS: %1

There are no version numbers like 16.33 in here??? Is my head unit different? build date on sticker with VIN says 01/13 for build.

Thanks all for any help

Geoff

Do you have the 5 inch screen perhaps as the MY13 was the change over year I think to the 8 speed and 8.4. Screen.

Your 01/13 build is MY13 which should have the 5sp trans and 5 inch screen. They changed to MY14 with new Uconnect in mid 2013.

Correct! 5sp + 5" scren - RHP head unit. I have been online for most of today and learned that these headunits are referred to as MYGIG units (I think .. .feel free to corect me!), and this site seems to cater for these untis:
https://mygig-disk.com/download-rhp.php

I presume you burn the ISO file to DVD, insert into unit and after some prompting, an update occurs.

Does anyone know if there is a forum group somewhere that spells out dates against updates and a formal procedure? The C300 and Charger forums are pointers that others reference.

Thanks for your help all
