So Farwest is this what you want for the engine sump .... https://shop.ezoil.com.au/products/ez106g

On my WG I was always going to mig a bung onto the pan so i could drain it and while suction pump does the job it doesn't change the filter and thats the important part of a tranny service.

Yes mate...something in that style....John Carr has one on his...Liamray stated he uses them...perfect for overfills...and an easier method of changing oils...'protection' of the valve is what Im trying to work out in my head....currently no underbody bash plates on mine, and no lift kit...my concern is 'contact' due to limited ground clearance...I dont 'rock crawl' but I do 'off road'...not suspension bending body torqueing wheel lifting off roading...but...with the limited ground clearance I currently have...hell...an empty can on a track 'rattles' along the underbody (ok....Im exaggerating...a bit)

I've done the fluid change on the Chrysler 545FRE and it is well worth buying a vacuum pump to avoid the mess that this job entails, on the Chrysler trans it is even worse because the pan is sealed with RTV not a gasket, so makes a bigger mess when you crack it loose. However, at least the Chrysler trans came with a dipstick! I had the vacuum pump for years used it on the inboard boat and also on Jeep differentials as well. Next time I change the fluid I'm for sure getting a pan with drain plug and a Lube Locker gasket.

I think someone was lazy as the 545FRE is supposed to have a gasket in the kit and using gasket in a tube on a tranny is not a good move at all........ I would make my own before using it on a tranny...
NAG1 has a proper gasket, I used to lower one side of pan so it ran into the biggest plastic garbage bin lid you ever saw.

Be buggered Jeep do use a "Gasket in a Tube" for the 545FRE, the real gasket is an aftermarket thing, since I don't buy genuine I would never have known.............. Many moons ago mate just bought the filter and bits from Rockauto or somewhere, was along time ago now.
