I agree with the others.....battery died.

I've always been a firm practitioner of preventative maintenance on my cars which includes a new battery every three years......especially so with these modern electronic cars

You probably know this now, but for anyone reading this, that's the point where you move the seat out of the way and change the battery out for a new replacement.

No point flogging a dead horse(battery). Hopefully your electronics aren't fried.

My MY13 (first reg. Feb 2013) ran on the original Chrysler battery for exactly 5 years until Feb 2018. After a few tell tale electrical 'funnies' began happening, I replaced it. Everything hinges on a 100% healthy Battery and alternator on these cars. Regular tests of both are essential.

Thanks for all the replies, only last week the radio had a hiccup and stopped broadcasting even though everything seemed ok, I could get no sound out of it until I stopped, turned off and restarted. Maybe this was the first sign of battery troubles.
I presume the batteries are put in on the production line so it could well be over 5 years old.
I'll endeavour to get the seat forward and remove the battery today......wish me luck!

Try putting jumper leads on the posts under the bonnet and see if that will power the seat to move forward.

Hi cherokee94NZ, that's what I did and put the charger onto supply mode and I was able to power the seat forward and up.
Got the battery out no trouble and put the multimeter across it and got 2.5 volts.......I think i have found the problem!
Hopefully a new battery will solve all the problems and we'll go back to trouble free motoring, I do love the GC ......best tow vehicle and general drive.
