Thumbs up Hello from Colorado...

Hello to all. I am from Durango, Colorado and came to you by way of the Gold Coast Jeepers. I live 2½ hours from Moab, Utah. I thought you'd enjoy a few pics of my rig.

Here it is as it sits today...

Climbing "Tip Over Challenge" on Hell's Revenge in Moab...

Driving the "Wedge" on Poison Spider in Moab...

"Clear Lake" just north of where I live. The lake is in a dormant volcano and the elevation above 12,000 ft.

On top of "Ophir Pass" just north of where I live...

Going over "Black Bear Pass" which is one of my club's sponsored trails...

You can see these pictures and read about the upgrades I've done to my heep (some with install articles) on my page by clicking here. Or, you can check out some other killer pictures by going to my club's website by clicking here.

Hope you guys like the pics!!

Awesome dude. One day I'd like to get to that area and do the trails. I've seen the Black Bear Pass on the magazine of 4wheeldrive and sport utility magazine. I really do like the scenery there. How far is it to drive from LA? And what's the best time of the year to head that way?

Cheers

Los Angeles International Airport is about a 14 hour drive from here. Most people take another flight to Albuquerque, New Mexico and drive up. That is only a 3 hour drive. Black Bear can be closed all the way into July and can get snow as early as October, so a lot is dependant on the weather. Late July, early August is HOT in the lower areas like Moab (which is over 100F) and Black Bear will be in the 70's. October would be my pick.
