Is the lower section of the front bummber bar and jeep recommend that you remove this section prior to going off road

Hope i got that right

The funnest thin i have ver found in a new car was from europe
Half eaten sandwich in the spare tyre well
Which proved to then asvit does even mor toady that the pre delivery is nothing more than an extra profit for the dealer and thy really don't do much more than a car wash

Yeah Cheers Glen, I watched the wife drive it off to work this morning like a proud father. The mallet was a nice touch.

I reckon I'll remove the air dam on my next offroad trip. It did scoop a bit of sand on one section of deep tracks (I was probably a little heavy footed). With quadra-lift or spring lift, you'd be sweet I reckon. The worry is the first plastic skid plate directly behind the air dam, though someone mentioned the trailhawk has one made of a better plastic?

As FWDJEEP pointed out, its the lower section of the front bar, its designed to be removed for off roading. I was under the LH front of the car cable tieing a water hose that comes from the washer bottle up out of the way so it could not get snagged. I slide over to the RH side to look for anything that could not get snagged, i slid over to the RH side and noticed a nice piece of Hickory hanging down, it obviously connected to the rubber mallet you see in the previous picture.

I quite like the interior, I will get a few snaps up before my kids destroy it.... Just kidding! Marshall Law is in place inside the car, if they even look dirty they are cruising for a week long Ipod/Iphone/Ipad ban.

that's BRILLIANT!!!! - soooo good.... and yes i would appreciate seeing the interior also - you can never have enough photos.

maybe just maybe that is the answer to your other mystery? of there is a noise you dont' like as your driving along? i think it might have been a rubber mallet bouncing around

great to hear you've already started taking parts off the car though - love to hear of peopl ewith new rigs that plan on using them not just turning them into a toorak tractor

cannot wait to read more about this rig!

Pretty sure the noise was not the mallet.

I have the car entered into CruiserKhana this weekend where the off-road ability will be tested, so rest assured this is no Toorak Tractor, even the Toorak Tractor (Discovery 3) I had prior to this saw the bush quite a few times and it was amazing.

Photo's to follow.
