They seem to be A340 specialists, and advertise upgraded VALVE BODIES etc etc

It may be you have a defective valve body, and they advertise exchange

Thing is they SHOULD be an excellent source of advice on the nature of your problem, rather than general A/T shops, who probably diagnose a rebuild required..(maybe it does)

They may also be able to advise whether changing the 1/2 solenoid is worthwhile to try

Thank you. I couldn't get much further away from Brisbane. I am in Denmark.

"Rainman" on here recently had a similar trans problem and he tracked it down the the TPS. He has posted in the XJ section. Just a thought.
