Today I dropped the fuel tank and cleaned it out. The car was sitting for 3 years and had rust all in the bottom of the tank which killed the pump filter. After drying the tank and using a wire bush welded to some rod I cleaned all the rust off. A good wash out with carb cleaner and a rag on a stick the tank was ready. The filter was a little harder to clean, but after a tin of carb cleaner all looked good. then a new inline filter and a flash of the lines and I was done
Now the big test will be a trip to the dunes on Tuesday to see if it will run for more then an hour before cutting out again.....
