Default Sye - The Wooders boootyfab method

Started to fit a slip yoke eliminator onto the XJ today. When installing a sye the instructions say to either remove the shaft from the transfer case and turn it down in a lathe or cut shaft after removing the tc. Well I dont have the time or patience to remove the tc or the shaft, not to mention i dont have a lathe. So Wooders had a solution, we removed the driveshaft completely, with the engine running we engaged 2wd and put the auto in drive. Viola!, bootyfab lathe is invented. With a large cutting wheel on my grinder, I very carefully cut the shaft to the appropriate length, I was careful nut to apply too much pressure to the shaft but allowed the cutting wheel to do all the work. The result?, a perfectly flat surface to attach the new drive plate. Great idea Wooders!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a cut and tap SYE, not a heavy duty?
