Question Wk2 service 4wd light

Hi all new to forum have been looking for a while and found some interesting topics Having problem with 2012 wk2 GC larado 3ltr crd 5speed 166,00klms.About 2weeks ago had service 4wd light come therefor esc turned off,had local mechanic check with scan tool code c1415 come up transfer case motor, but he could clear code.Have tried numerous things such as disconnect battery,pull fuses and relays,unplug TC motor plug all to no avail,every thing is working as it should no problem,just cant clear light. This problem started first start after removing and replacing R/H/R door trim. Any ideas or remedies would be greatly appreciated

Had a similar thing happen to me - although mine's petrol not diesel.

In my case the warning lights came on and then reset themselves when restarting the engine. It was tracked to low oil in the transmission (caused by a leak in the transmission cooler lines) which then caused issues with changing gears.

However, I've seen other posts on here, where similar symptoms occur, but they relate to faulty brake sensors, or problems with the electronic LSD (if you have one).

Not an expert in these things, but is it likely you've dislodged a connection somewhere, when fiddling with the door trim?
