Check out my Ride(s)
Default Next generation Grand Cherokee

Well I've seen a few comments on other sites relating to the imminent demise of the diesel engine.
To make things worse, the V8 can only tow 3266kg.
My van is heavier than that, as are many others, so what are we going to do?
Hold on to our old cars till they break? Hope the new hybrid petrol/electric will have a higher rating? Hope it's not priced prohibitively?
One of the current models best features is it's towing ability and value for money.
Might have to look at something else next time...

I think new technology is all about lighter vans, boats, trailers and horse floats.

If they can get the weights down below 1000kg’s using lightweight material like titanium and other space shuttle derived alloys I think things are looking bright. New vans utilising all this space age NASA technology should see starting prices in the low $500,000’s meaning they will be very affordable for billionaires and politicians.

Either that or we will all be looking at tents instead of vans .......
