thanks for the comments.

I know its going to be hard work and plenty of cash but in the end its something I have always wanted to do. I want to do as much of the work I can on it myself and have a few mates that will also help out. I have never done anything like this before, so it will be a big learning curve and will only make me understand Jeeps better at the end of it all. Also gives me a reason to go to work and earn some cash so I can spend it on building it up. No point working and earning cash if you cant spend it and enjoy it.

Its pretty rough atm as I have not researched and priced all options yet but the ideal plans are:

350 chev motor
turbo 350 auto
diff options: gq patrol; ford 9" + dana 44; dana 60 + dana 44???, stick with the stock amc 20 and dana 30. Still not too sure. Any ideas would be welcomed.
front and rear warn bars
33/35" mt claws on classic II's on road and would love a set of 33/35" boggers on steel rims for offroad
paint: have always wanted lime green but lately have been thinking bright silver. Have some mates to help me paint it.

Any info/opinions would be appreciated on the plans? I plan to find out a lot more before I commit to anything.

Terror, do you know what the original color was?
DONT put 33s on it, lookin at Flex-ons i reckon they could do with 36-37s and still look in proportion, not like a stupid lift Niisan or somethin if ya get my drift, sorry if i offended any Nissan owners (NOT).

no idea what the original colour was. Its still waiting for a ride over from perth.

Only reason to go 33's was if I was sticking with the stock diffs. If I build the diffs with stronger ones I would hit it up with 35/37's for offroad work.
