Default "Grand" bloody diff noise

Has any got or tried to fix the noise coming from the diffs in a 96 Grand Cherokee
It is definatley getting louder and starting to get really annoying.
Gonna need bigger speakers soon

what noise are you talking about?
is it the "DONK" when you accelerate from stationary?

Had to get my diff reset at 60.000 seemed to fix it i beleive they lapped it back in after tightening something in diff had to remove whole diff to do it

people having the same problem with diff noise on my jeep liimted 1996 oil on the right hand side and a continues rumble noise, now any one no wheher i do a DIY job on it and whay it might be.

Sounds like Rear wheel bearings / worn cross shaft. You will need to replace rear axels as the axel forms the inner race. We do a couple every month.

thanks pheonix but have checked them out all ok, i think its going to be a diff reset what really like to no is whehter this can be done at home and is there any manuals available

You will need a diff spreader and a selection of shims and a new colapasable spacer to do the job properley. Take it to a differential specialist.
