Default ZJ: Red Grand build

oh well the CJ 4A's gone now I have a Red ZJ was not planned at all but .............

Ok pic's to come
the plan it to use and slowly modify, yeah right .........
stock standard with 1 front and rear hook so far

plans

winch bar, leads please beside ARB the MCC one I ordered last week now not made
or any other options but must stay road legal with the air bags

on 235/75/ 15 MT tyres

have got a 2" lift coming so I 'Have ' To put slightly larger tyres on 30" ??

remove the PLC car alarm that I don't have the remotes for. Idea's

fit a roof mount for my PRS radio maybe my CB as well

Rear bar and external tyre, hi lift storage

sill protectors, these will be home made.........

famous last words ............ and that's all

ok
Alarm nearly out Hope it goes, the Battery's flat

have lined up a roof console out of another ZJ hope to collect tomorrow and may get a working stereo aerial

Lift kit sitting in the Garage

now to put it together .............

what size tyres I would like to keep the factory alloys now 15 x 7

anyone know the metric tyre size of a 31" ??????????

if you run 31's you will touch at full lock.
Place a washer behind the steering bump stop & it will be enough to stop you from touching & you not even now the difference in turning circle.

for future upgrades....... look at getting an XJ diesel front diff (Dana 30 HP with the right ratio) a 231 transfer case (TJ) gives you 2wd option & will save fuel.

Thanks Hunno will I need more off set rims? would like to go to 32" but may have to lift too much
well have a bar from a XJ on it's way so I will have to cert it too keep road legal with out the airbags so may put another inch space on top of my lift and cert that

ok roof lining stuck back on
now anyone have a ZJ with a roof consle would like to know how far back is the roof lining cut for the tang that holds it up ......

have spoken to a cert man to remove the airbags I need to fill the void with something like foam ??
will go
3"lift
sill protectors
15 x 8 rims
winch bar
and get it all cert so no issues from now on and will be ok if the change the bullshit rules again

ok no pic's yet ...............
roof lining back in all other bits back in have the roof console ready to put up but the wiring for the lights are different colour and can't work them out ....yet
it has been vacuumed out and even horror been washed with soapy water and a brush ................................

the bits on order for quadratc aren't in stock slightly pissed but happens
as for the front bar it looks like getting harder the more I look at it not only removal of the air bags and sensors etc. now the seatbelts need changed from the pretension one to the old fashion rocker ones
may be a turfor may be the go ...... but where's the fun in that

am using to tow the caravan back to camp this weekend and may be allowed a little play where we stay
