.

Anyone that owns a black jeep - how do you wash it so that there are no drying marks?

Also - how do people get the grit out of their window mechanisms so that it does not make the scratching noise when winding up/down?

Hey Luke,

I find that using the gernie on my doors is the best method to get the dirt out of the sliders. Just high pressure the fook out of the sliders/rubber. Unplug the wiring loom so you don't short circuit the electrics in the door though (central locking and windows can play funny buggers when they get wet).

As for drying you need to use a quality chamois. I struggle to keep the black looking nice too but I am having good success with microfibre chamois. Also very important that the paint has a good synthetic wax/sealant on it, having a slick surface makes it much easier to clean. Don't use a crap detergent like armourall either because they can often leave a slick on the paint to make it look shiney but this just makes it harder to clean.
