Default 1950’s Willys utility

Gday all I’m Damon and I was interested in asking a few questions in regards my 1950’s? Willys 6cyl Ute.
1. It needs new brakes as all four drums and all the shoes are shot.
- Is there anywhere in Australia I can purchase the above mentioned items?
- Has anyone on here done a front disc brake conversion with local sourced parts?
- Where is the best place in the states to buy all the brake parts if necessary. I’ve been looking at Kaiserwillys.com.

2. I read a while back about a fellow member that could identify the year of the Willys vehicles in Australia and I would love to hear from him and get mine dated to please.

3. I purchased a CJ6 Combat Jeep on the weekend and was wondering the same basic questions on brakes and parts for the vehicle running the original ford 6 cylinder.

Cheers in advance to all the brain trusts on the site, Cheers Damo

If you put up photos of the dash and grille, I can certainly help identify the year. The chassis number would be even better! Usually by the left front shock mount but can also be down by the rear ones too! You might still have a data plate on the seat riser or on the top of the firewall. A blue one is the Australian issued one.

I don't buy stock parts so can't help you there, but one supplier here is Marathon Spares. https://marathonspares.com.au/

Also if on Facebook, make sure you join our group. Their are guys with original hand written records that can give a good early history if you have the blue data plate.
