Default Wait Times on new Grand, why?

I keep reading with interest all the reviews and forums about the new grand cherokee as I would love to get one in the future. However topic of wait times is one that surprises me as I dropped into gold coast Jeep and they have 5 petrol models all sitting on the lot.

Colours include mineral grey, bright silver, white. Laredo and limited models.

Understand that people may be referring to the diesel as a wait, but there appears to be plenty of petrol models around.

Yes, but I've heard a lot of people say they are waiting too on the petrol models. I guess there are picky colour selections or something. If you like the silver or white Colours, contact gold coast Jeep!

It is mainly the CRD and Overland models.
Mine took 4 months, but I ordered it in early May before they had announced the CRD was available to the public. I also needed to call up Chrysler and hassle them to give me a car, as I was told it could have been February. If you just want a Limited or Laredo, then you should be able to find one in stock, but the CRD's are very desirable.
I love ours and the CRD would be the motor of choice, as they are quicker than the Hemi and use 1/2 the fuel.

My Overland has 6,000km and perfect

the CRD are not quicker than the 5.7 Hemi, also we get over 600km a tank on the Hemi.
