Default Had a close look at the JK Rubicon

..Interesting feed back. Still hanging to see one in the flesh/metal/plastic. The Rubicon appeals to me because it has standard what would cost mega Australian dollars to put in. The idea of All Terrains..over Mud Terrains isn't an issue for me but I'd hope they'd be 32". What is it with the Renegade anyway ? ..The recent postings indicate it has 16" rims and smaller tyres. I thought this was the Sahara model ..rebadged for Australia... and if so it should be running 17" rims and 32" road oriented tyres. Theres a lot of skullduggery afoot at CD Aust me thinks. Does anyone know yet what rear axle we're getting in standard trim ?... Will we get Dana 44 rear and 4.01 ratios if we go with the tow package ? ( as we should ! ). Will be interested to see those shots of the Rubicon when they're posted. l

rubi has 32's on 17 in rims - same as renegade - sport as 16in
has dana 44's
not sure of ratios - but I know the diesel isn't available because of gearing
sahara not in australia as only model with coloured guards
hope this helps

hmmm.. I was wondering the same thing about the Renegade.. the two unlimited "renegades" that I have seen so far have both had 16"s not 17"s as they should... what's the deal? and no painted fenders either. Essentially it's an X model equivalent with a hardtop. What gives?

Yeh, the renegade pack for us is just a Sport addon. Meaning, no colour coded guards. Ill be ripping mine off once I get it and painting them. I saw a rescue green rubi and a rescue green sahara in jackson hole late last year, and much preferred the painted guards.

Go the tow pack too, so the plate gets remounted under the tailight and bumper swapped out Also, the higher ratio gears on the unlimited standard, not sure about the 2 door, but im assuming the same.
