when I bought my MIG, there was a few inverters in the store, but the guy said he wouldn't recommend anything but the Kemppi MinarcMIG 180 based on my interest in welding thin sheet metal (body panels). He said all of the other inverter MIGs he had would just blow a hole in the plate. He did sell unimig but I don't know the model you mention.
My suggestion is to take the type of materials you hope to weld with you (off cuts) and get them to show you the machine in action, or have a go yourself. Best way to know if the machine suits your needs.
