Default Wheel Lock Nuts

hey guys/girls ...

im after getting a set of lock nuts for my jeep ...

in the excitement of buying and only just recently realised that i wasnt supplied with the key to get the nut off the spare tyre and only recently realised this, as i went into a tyre place to get a quote to put some 33's on my jeep ...

so any recommendations on where to go ... at this point all i have is a quote from jeep for 130 + gst ... which seemed a little pricy but i could be wrong ...

any help is appreciated

Did you buy it new? If so, it should have come with the key and the dealer should provide one for nothing. That or at least remove the lock nut for free and you can then fit the security device of your choice.

Have you checked the glove box and the storage comp in the boot the key should be there or your dealer needs to provide it for free - what if you have been 1/2 way across the nullabor and got a flat you would have been stuffed.

I think they are supposed to give you the code for it as well so you can get a replacement if needed.

I got my wrangler second hand but it appears that the lock nut for the spare was an optional extra as the key is in a bag under the boot floor with a Mopar instructions. As such, if there's a lock nut on your car then the key should be around somewhere. If it's not then the dealer should provide it.
