I have been having problems for a few days now as well. I am in NZ, so not even close to Asian countries (although walking downtown Auckland might make you think otherwise - all fun being a cosmopolitan city).

I hate it that there is no way to contact the admins. Anybody has any valid email addresses to use?

If not up now it should be very soon. Keith (JF mod) replied to my post...

"I had to ban Asia because of a SYN flood attack. Will unban this afternoon."

I guess Oz and NZ IP addresses must be lumped in with Asia as internet cable routing is no doubt routed via asia rather than across the pacific.

I thought the Southern Cross cable went across the pacific. I might be wrong on that.

Nope, its still not working. I did manage to get on it through my mobile and I have left a message for Keith this afternoon. Lets hope it works. I am not prepared to pay data rates to Vodafone to read JeepForum.

Yep, the Southern Cross Cable goes through pacific http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Cross_Cable

I am with Xtra, which is owned by Telecom New Zealand, which in turn is a part owner of the Southern Cross Cable. How do I get picked up in IP addresses covering Asia is a mystery.

It seems your IPs are in the Asia Pacific Network. Which must be what was blocked as a group. APN covers most of continental Asia, and Pacific Ocean nations, including Australia and New Zealand.

Well, if you say Asia Pacific as a group sure that would explain it. But makes no logical sense. Its almost Jeepforum admin saying, you are not in North America, therefore you are out! Oh wait, you are in Europe, in but everybody else out. I am beginning to get a bit mad at them and may decide to never go back on Jeepforum. Thanks for trying to help.
