Well it rocked up about 5 this Arvo , old mate in a Camry dropped it off, I thought it was Uber. I was at the pub and had a few pints, then we went for dinner, just got home and ripped it all out the box, I think I'll be patient for the first time in my life, watch the footy and tackle it tomorrow when not under the influence of 🍺

Got today off (sick) so hopefully it turns up today and if I can stay away from the loo long enough I'll have a crack at fitting it.

Ha. Loo. Crack. Hehehe

Got a couple of questions for JK Renegade before I button it all up so I don't have to rip it out again.
How did you connect the poser for the rear camera? Mines got the yellow rca to connect, each end, stereo and camera end it has power and reverse power?
Where did you mount the GPS and 5G wifi antenna?
I suppose the wifi one doesn't matter as it'll always be tehtered to my phone in close proximity.

Well, I've sort of answered my own questions I reckon, so apparently the canbus will control turn on feature, I just need to feed it acc power from the rear.
Still not sure where to place the gps antenna, I'll just shove it under the dash somewhere

Hey mate I stuck my gps antenna under the dash on top of the old radio metal bracket as the antenna is magnetic. I would check if it should face a certain way because mine moves around a bit when I'm stationary like it's trying to figure which way I'm facing.
Yeah my camera worked off the canbus but I also hooked into the reverse lights just in case that stops working properly down the line.

I just mounted both antennas under the dash, but on top of the white foam stuff, I have tested extensively out bush and it works a treat..

I routed it up onto the side of the dash, I might just sit it under the dash mat.
Installed the reverse cam today, pulled the back panel off, ripped the factory one out, I didn;t like the downward view from in there so mounted it under there right next to it, man the vision from it is great, same with from the DVR, crystal clear, hopefully will use it for some footage offroad next week, saves mucking around with the GoPro.
Not sure I'm keen on how it mounts, 4 little screws, hopefully it will hold up to the bouncing around on tracks. USB storage works a treat, so does Vanced YT Music and Ad Free Spotify, just had to uninstall the original crap one.
The thing sounds bloody great too, I love having Google Maps on there, it did wipe my phone and Google contacts though, easy enough to roll back on the PC, but weird.
The factory mic is crystal clear according to the Minister of War and Peace.
Overall I'm pretty darn happy with it
