Smile Window Regulators

Hello. Looks like I need to replace the drivers side window regulator. I want to buy the pair as I can't tell whether those advertised are RH for Australia or RH for the USA.
Can anyone tell me if those advertised for the XJ 1997-2001 will fit my XJ which 84-96. Mine is a 1996 Sport.

Also, any suggestions please as to best place to buy them. I live in Tasmania so freight is always expected.

Thanks for any help.

Just had same problem few weeks ago. Locked on the net but decided to fix it myself . It seems like is quite common. Mainly the plastic nut part in which the treaded flex travels gets worn out . Tried different approaches but finished up doing the cotta pin method that tough hard to think is a professional approach but works so far. Just google it up and you should came across it.
Remove the inside door panel and the two connecting rods and unplug the small and large wiring connectors .
Than there are 2 screws that holds the window glass (tilt sideways to remove from door frame) .
Undo the 3 screws holding the window motor and assy. and remove it from the door.
More likely you will have to clean with a wire brush the flexible treaded rod before you attempt to continue on. Once that is done google it up and you will see how is done. Basicaly you have to drill 2 holes and insert 2 cotta pins that are wrapped around the flex tread than bend the ends so it doesn't pop out.
Cheers Andrei

I can't see from your post what the exact fault is... mine was intermittent in operation due to a fractured wire, a little digging and probing with a multimeter soon found the issue, easily fixed on the cheap 👍

The suggestion above sounds good for mechanical issues
