That is normal then. For some bizarre reason Aus (maybe all export markets) are not getting a diesel supplement, so technically getting NO info about the DPF etc..

My old 2.7CRD just seems far more superior to the more modern techo wagons every day, I think the new rigs have just far too much techo BS on them, they are more a Toorak Tractor than a real 4x4 now, be scary to go out along the Cooper in one.

This has nothing to do with jeep. It relates to the emission laws so essentially, companies producing diesel engines have two choices, stop providing diesel or use these kinds of technologies.

True, but it is how the technologies are implemented that is Jeeps fault.

Agree. Things like the lack of warning before going into limp mode is the dumbest thing I've heard of. The jeep dealer couldn't explain it but mentioned the Aus diesel quality is poor so perhaps they did it because of that.
Someone on one of the other forums mentioned that the problem on some Jeeps was caused by the vehicles standing for an extended period prior to delivery or putting them on ships, so I am not sure if what he means is the vehicles standing waiting to board a ship with their engine running.
The jeep dealer told me all the issues have been resolved with one or two regenerations so we'll see if that is the case. If not, i may go back to Jeep and complain the vehicle is not fit for purposes. I'm not sure why they don't offer the user the option to do a regen themselves because all they do is plug it into a computer which runs the engine at 4000 revs for a defined period of time. It may be good for owners to understand it if they have a problem on an off road trail which causes the vehicle to go into limp mode at a time when they would be stuck.
