New, stock, I was getting 500kms per tank.
With 35" bias MT Claws Im now getting 320kms per tank.

The fuel use you are seeing is not normal. If they try to tell you it is, print this thread out and hand it to them.

Only thing I woud like to add is the engine is still only VERY new with only 2500ks on it. For the first 2000-3000ks the fuel usege can be poor due to the run in factor, I was exactly the same when I got mine new, the eco didn't even out untill around the 4000ks mark.

Try running a few tanks of premium trough it to help the process, you may be suprised.

Thanks Lexx. I run premium every 4th tank or so, will try it a little more often.

At this rate I won't be able to afford to reach 4000ks We're taking it camping after Christmas, so will be interesting to see how it goes on a longer run.

Lexx - take your point, but the run in shouldn't be that much different though. I ran mine up to Qld the day after I got it new and was fine.

You will find if you mix the petrol i.e. premium to stock unleaded the comp will have a hard time with setting the mixture rate. Either use normal unleaded or premium not a mix of both, may be another reason for it.

You will find after a while te premium won't cost you as much as you will gain eco out of it, the average is around 30-60ks per tank. Before you fill up next time diconect the battery for at least 1/2 hour to reset the computer, you won't notice it the first tank but I can guarentee you will the second and third.

JJ - every engine is different with thier run in, some can take longer than others. Pistons seat in differently and seals bed in differently, the way an engine is run in will efect the life and performance of it over it's life time.

Yeah? I've always been told it's not necessary to run premium all the time. I did with my clubby anyway, but that's because she liked it better
