Where are the diff breathers on a WJ?

Do you have any problems with water coming in through the rear vents/tail gate or in the rear lights? They must be under water to be coming in the rear diff breather. Have you though of just putting on a better filter? I know a couple of the aftermarket kits come with a sintered metalic filter would this help?

HeHe...I was thinking the same thing Roachy, If I'm drowning the diff breathers on the WJ then I reckon a bilge pump might be the next best accessory.

Unless you are going to travel upsteam and stop in the water the diff breathers should are high enough, if water got into the diffs at that height they would be the least of your problems. Seats and electrics in doors etc would be rather damp.
Water can be as high as the lights but when driving thru it properly your pushing it out of the way and it shouldn't come any higher than the floor level, stop and your stuffed, hey.
Don't forget a blind over the front even with a Snorkel.

If I get one drop of water inside I will stop crossing rivers but aslong as you keep the momentum and dont stop and keep that bow wave going you should be right and the grand cherokee has very good sealing around the doors compared to the jap 4wd (in paticular prado) same crossing me no water and prado open doors for the whole weekend to get rid of smell after dampness.

HeHe....as much as I love my Jeep, it would be a brave statement to claim the Jeep has better sealing than any of the Jap 4x4's.

My old Series III Landy was the best, the back was sealed like a boat and the front, the water just flowed back out thru the holes in the floor. Biggest problem was it would float away in deep water, saddle fuel tanks kept the engine from pulling it down so just kept the wheels turning like big paddles.
