Was aware that Panhard mount would need to be changed, but can't see a problem with the sway bar mounts.....guess that comes in the future when I get the uprights & tie-rod back.

Worth doing to a Dana 30.........I think it is. After several years of fairly hard wheeling I've only broken two 27 spline axles. As most of my friends run Nissans with 35s & 37s, I find my 285/70R17s are big enough with my small pumpkins. As I am more interested in rocks than mud, I find radials, (with their lower weight & superior traction), suit me better than heavier bias ply tyres.

As I had all the bits for the conversion lying around, all I'm paying for is a bit of machining and I can live with that. BTW, I am a tyre dealer & have been modifying suspension for 4WDs & race cars for about 35 years.

Engineers are making inserts.

Thought the clearance everywhere looked fairly close, but will fix as required. I have a couple of spare housings, so everything will be set up long before I put a spanner on the old TJ.

Reaming the tie rod end that the drag link attaches to to take a GU TRE. My Pitman arm was previously reamed to take a GU TRE.

Any one used this Currie Heavy Duty Tie Rod System? Would it work with RHD jeeps?

Replace the complete stock Jeep tie rod system with extra heavy-duty components. The Currie Heavy Duty Tie Rods system provides the ultimate strength and endurance for serious off-roaders and rock crawlers. Kit includes: 1-1/4 chromemoly Drag Link and Tie rod Tube with oversized 1-1/8 threaded Drag Link Adjuster and Giant Clamps, 7/8 threaded Tie Rod Ends with greasable Zerk fittings and a heavy duty steering stabilizer bracket kit. Easy bolt-on installation with up to 4 inches of lift.

The bend in the Drag link would be heading in the wrong direction. I`m interested in an upgrade, onto my THIRD drag link now....
