Nice find. With a skid plate guard under the pan, you could easily hole saw a big enough hole into the skid to access the plug.

I put the drain on the front, because depending on where I'm wheeling sometimes the transmission skid plate is left at home, and I don't like the snag point on the bottom.

Yes, I have a few scrapes and scratches on the bottom of the actual pan. A bit naughty I am

Plus, I'll only use the drain plug to empty the pan enough to remove the pan for filter changes, without that ugly spilling everywhere scenario
