I suspect these yum-cha knockoffs might be okay for things like bleeding the ABS or testing the cooling fan, but doing anything that involves internet data would be questionable.

I have a genuine one but haven't connected it on the net, I don't dabble with flashing ECM , just use for reading codes etc

I just got a bad case of "workshop envy"

Do you mind sharing where you got it from and how much it set you back, please?

Got it on eBay US 4 years ago second hand cost around $1600 by the time I got it .
Invaluable with the WG CRD , I bought a JGC , the seller was quoted 3g to repair the
transmission, scanned it and found only had bad shifter board, generic scanners
won't give any more than the key dance.
The jeep.com program is the same , but at least it will clear the codes
I can program transponder keys with it, I bought 10 blanks and have been using them. It will add extra remote fob, I have swapped ecm's with it changing vin

I found some DRB3 Chinese copies a few years ago selling for about $700US, looked like the real thing. .

Getting into the geek stuff again - I just discovered that the latest version of JeepDiag Pro includes the pinion ratio setting. (Look in the ABS module.) It allows you to set the wheel RPM per mile. Helpful since I have oversize tyres fitted. I'm off to calibrate my speedo against the GPS.

Hmmmm, WJdiag Pro crashes as soon as I try to change the ABS setting. I'm tick-tacking with the developer about it. Has anyone else changed the setting?
