I'm running 33x12.5x16 on a JK Rubi. These are sitting on Pro comp rock crawler rims with a 4.5 offset. If running 12.5" width you need 4.5 offset. I still get slight rub on the rear right tyre. Nothing an adj panhard rod won't fix.
I have also installed a 2.5" teraflex budget boost kit with shocks.
If you are going to 33" and don't have a rubi I would recommed gear ratio change. 4:11 would suit best.
Handling on road is great.

Thankyou exactly the sort of input I need, any adjustment to pinion angles or anything like that needed?

Theres a couple of locals running 33x12.50r17 and they experienced only minor rubbing prior to fitting lifts. |
Cheers

it wont let me upload the photos again, but i have a rubicon express lift which levels out the rake of the jk and 33'' Mickey Thompson MTZ's on MT Classic II 17's.
Ride is awesome just adjust tyre pressure to suit personal preference, and if you get this lift make sure you get the monotube shocks, which are made by bilstein and valved specifically for the JK.
Stock wheels/tyres look shite (imo), 33's are a must for presence and for offroad ability. legalities aside
a re-gear might be nice down the track, but is not essential.

You don't need to adjust the pinion angle but if you do it would put less pressure on the driveshaft. I'm thinking about getting rear upper adj control arms to adjust the angle.
