its fine to buy a Bugati Veyron that does 0-100km/hr in 3seconds and a top speed of 400+km/hr, but if you have a 4wd with a 3 inch lift your a dangerous hoon
a headless chook has more intelligence!
can't believe we have to listen to this crap

Instead of winging about it why not take five minites of your time and send old matie here an email http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registrati...-july-2009.pdf

Heres my effort and I'm not even from NSW.

Be prepared for a lot of backlash from the 4wd community if these new laws regarding lift heights come in. We are not a bunch of 18 year old hoons. The lack of a satisfactory process, consultation, and statistical evidence supporting these changes are unacceptable. The large majority of 4wd owners are older responsible citizens who will not stand for this.

Kind Regards

The 50mm includes both suspension increase and tyre diameter increase so that pretty much rules out all half decent mods
Exactly 50mm less 15mm tyre increase = 35mm legal lift limit.....AND it will have to be engineered.
After many agrivated phone calls the VSI is as much as we got too - no details on the conditional rego.

Also tube/flate fenders make it worse - we need those lower fenders now

So a set up of 2 inch lift, and hi-hood is legally out also? (im talking hi hood done with say warn flares) so it looks stock
Run 31s on the street, and have the 35s/37s waiting to be used in the garge!
but then i guess youll just get pinched on the way to the trail!
