A bar I came across from East Coast Bars. Maybe new? Alloy, presume lighter weight than most steel bars... some sort of recovery hoop, very blocky and square look... guess may work for some, not me. ADR compliant.

Why are re-sellers here allowed to sell bars which aren't ADR compliant? Why aren't they banned from importing since they pose issues if you have an accident etc...?

I'm really interested in the RSE front bar but the whole issue of ADR really worries me if something were to go wrong. The ARB bar looks really outdated to me and the DBOR bars look ok but don't grab me like the RSE does nor does the uneek bar.

But I'm stuck worrying whether or not I'll have issues down the track if something were to happen

I completely agree and I think if you had a decent Solicitor you'd be able to argue in Court that you were mislead as a consumer and claim compensation from the business that sold you the item. I'm not a Solicitor, but if you purchase goods that states "For offroad use only", then all responsibility would lay with the consumer.

Of the three bars that are ADR compliant, I'd get the U-neek bar, looks the ducks nuts

I think Jeep Konection were bringing in the RSE bars with the tow hooks moved down lower so that they adhered to the ADR's (though at the time they hadn't actually had it tested so it still wasn't ADR compliant). You'd need to speak with them though to confirm that as it was a while ago when I spoke to them. I have no idea if they were actually going to get them tested which would allow them to then be sold as ADR compliant.

I also liked the look of the RSE bar but didn't like the cost or the weight. It's not cheap, especially once you add in lights etc that don't come with the bar, and it's a heavy bar and that's going to take it's toll on your front suspension and handling (what little of it there is!).

So are stubbies deemed not compliant because they do not cover the tyres completely?

I like how it sits so far forward and how the hoop rakes back and has an aerial mount (the profile pic looks awesome). I also like how the hoop is big so you see most of the grill through it.

In all other respects it doesn't look like it belongs on a JK, some rework is needed I think.
