Nah Bob, when the engine running and getting up to temp, I mean only have Radiator Cap on the 1st click then when it's full of coolant turn it all the way home as the coolant expansion will fill the bottle, but don't worry any residual air will be expelled via the bypass hose

Well I did the flush last weekend as per Ol Mate's post, but I reckon I only got about 2 litres out of the radiator by undoing the bung at the bottom.

I've read there should be about 4 litres in the radiator so I'm wondering if I've got that much crap in there that not all the coolant can be drained from the radiator?

And as Jeep Owner life goes on, after doing the cooling system hoses etc, seems I've now struck the leaking PS rack scenario.

Did you lift the radiator cap off to let the air in ????? otherwise it will just dribble after a few litres.... when the radiator is empty so is the header tank.......
