Default potential new jeep GC owner

Good evening all, new member chasing some tips. I'm looking at buying a 14-16 jeep Grand cherokee crd as a tow rig to sometimes tow a big car trailer, but will be mostly used by my partner driving to and from work and around town. I will be looking at a few different cars this weekend and wondering what i should be on the lookout for other than regular servicing/ general wear and tear? most of the ones ive found locally seem to have 70-100k kms. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the mob, I would say a Grand is a good choice but if mostly doing school sort of running in town I wouldn't be going for a CRD of any brand really, they don't really like tootling around town, it causes all manner of drama with the pollution set ups, its not a Jeep thing they all have the issue of EGRs and DPFs causing grief, town running I would go petrol if the car trailer ATM is in spec, be good for dragging it around.... The 8 speed ZF gear box is brilliant..

No matter what vehicle you buy though, get all the fluids changed no matter what the book stamps say, surprisingly they may be telling porkies, gearboxes with sealed for life or 100K km service schedules should be changed at 40K, saves lots of dollars later on...
