Default Air compressor battery connection question

Hey AJOR’ers,

N00b question - What’s the safest/easiest way to temporarily run an alligator clip connected air compressor for Tyre re-inflation?

I don’t really have enough need to buy and mount a permanent ARB compressor so just want to get thoughts on how to hook up a battery clamp style compressor ideally without having to get into the battery in the battery box each time.

Can you use the remote battery jumpstart terminals to clip the compressor onto? (Not sure about the fuses?)

Also is it safe to attach an AGM rated AC battery charger to the Remote Terminals to recharge the battery while in the car without having to remove it or disconnect the battery? In the past I’ve always been able to do this on my old cars without any problems but just not sure if that causes issues with Jeeps.

Within practical scope, you can use the jump start posts as if they were the battery itself.

If you have an Anderson plug fitted to the car you could run it of that.

I run my portable compressor off the remote terminals. To extend the lead so I can reach all 4 wheels I have a 1.5m lead permanently connected to the terminals with an Anderson plug on the other end. I replaced the crocodile clips on the compressor's lead with an Anderson. The ext lead coils up and sits snugly near the brake booster when not in use BUT it's essential to use the rubber cap on the Anderson plug when not in use, as the terminals are live. I find this set up more convenient and and it avoids croc clips springing off.
