Default Front door lock issues solved

On my previous post couldn't lock drivers door using key in lock only.
Could on passenger door & tail gate.
Found out that just open drivers door flip down the small lock button that locks all doors then just close the door.
Jeep fully locked without setting alarm and can be opened manually with key.
Sure this operation would be in the manual but in all the years of ownership never tried this, as just always used the remote alarm setting button
Thought the lock was faulty but maybe not

Just make sure you're have the keys in your hand before you shut the door! BTDT, but fortunately I have a soft top. So 'breaking in' causes no damage & is the work of under a minute*.

This is also why I never leave anything I can't afford to lose in the car...

*That includes resecuring everything so you can't tell anyone opened it in the first place.

Yep will do
Only time I might have to do this is when odd times the alarm can go off when parked head on in exposed windy area. I think it maybe the hood getting lifted slightly allowing movement of the sensor.
Has anyone else experienced this ?
