Dumb design, so how much is a rear driveshaft if I need one?

Might look at a Tom woods one.

You can repair a staked driveshaft.
Find the Rockford parts, punch out the old uni and replace using the inboard side clips...

Wow, that sounds insane!
Normally I would just replace the lot if unknown of age etc.
But in this case I would opt to tackle the prime suspect firstly. $$$

It’s the ‘Jeep’ way, fix and repair before buying new. This is what old mechanics used to always do before we became a throw away society.

Yep, we should be trying to rebuild the unrebuildable.
Will be interesting to know the final cost of parts and shipping to Oz.
