Valpacer's double cardan on the factory prop sounds like the best option, my custom one vibrated to much so I went back to a stock one.

There's too much heat generated within the CV
The grease is drying out, lack of lubrication and bang
Not sure if the heat is radiating from transmission & transfer case
Or is the heat is generated in the CV itself
Here is a chart showing angle versus speed differential
(speed up, slow down, speed up, slow down versus constant speed)
It's for an eight pivot joint
Our CV is only six, so that increases the speed differential
This CV only lasted 10 months
I know I'm hard the gear but gee-willikers
Re-greaseable double cardan unit could work
Maybe grease nipples on the CV are a short term solution ??
Time to start saving again
