Well, I'd agree, if it wasn't so much harder than the TJ that preceded it. And every other car I've owned...

And my bikes just require the pressure of a thumb, so why is the JK so hard?

There may be some truth in that.

I actually dislocated my thumb one night driving another car I had. An idiot cut me off and instead of taking my hands off the gearshift (it had flappy paddles) I hit the horn with the pad of my thumb.

No horn sounded but the sharp pain in my hand told me something was wrong. I had to pull over and push it back in. I was not impressed.
