Default Any experience with Bully Dog GT tuner?

Has anyone here had experience with the Bully Dog GT tuner? The most recent model is the GT Platinum which covers lots of vehicles including the JK. Has a great range of features including engine and trans monitoring, idle up for winching, fan off for water crossing, axle and tyre ratios, swaybar disconnect for rubi, as well as tuning options.

I'm not really interested in the tuning, as I'm not expecting any improvement from the 3.8 slug. I'm more interested in the other features in a neat and easy to use package. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it does enough cool stuff to warrant the cost. I need to reset the ratios anyway, so the extra $$ on top of an AEV procal isn't too bad considering all of the extra features. I just want to check if anyone has bad feedback before I bite the bullet and buy it.

Yep, sure seems like it!

No one has piped up, so perhaps there is limited experience in the aussie jeep scene. Maybe I'll have to be the guinea pig?

I've got this installed in my 2012 JKU. It's easy to install and use. I recently regeared to 4.88, and without it I would have been in trouble, because the computer was having issues with the regearing.

There are 3 maps - Trail, Normal, and Performance. I honestly can't feel the difference. unfortunately, you can't load your own maps to it. and bully dog haven't released any new maps.

I can set my wheel diameter, axle gearing, and it accurately corrects the speedo. I also use it to display temps, etc...

i'm happy with it. compared to the AEV one, it's easy to use. where the AEV one is good, but you have to set specific toggles to set wheel diameter, gearing etc...

Awesome, good to hear mate. Like I said, I'm not really interested in the maps. Can you confirm that it's possible to run the other features without having to install the engine tuning maps?

yeah for sure... at initial setup, it'll go through the process... ask you the tyre diameter, gearing, etc... and then asks you what map you want... all you need to do is select the "normal". it'll ask you to do a series of turning the ignition key on and off - if you're not really going to use the preset maps, then this process is quick. check out the bully dog site for the install manual, to get an idea what needs to be done.

Brilliant, I think I'm sold. Is yours a GT for Jeep (40440) or a GT Platinum (40417)?Where did you buy it from?
