Default Catch Can and Warranty

Does adding a catch can have any legal implications on warranty?

It shouldn't but may help keep it out of the workshop actually.... I would use a trusted reliable workshop to do servicing compared to an actual dealer with 10K km services on engine and all filters along with 40-50K km servicing on the tranny..... seems to keep the problems at bay.

Not all catch cans perform the same and Provent and Flashlube are the only two that are known not to restrict the crankcase ventilation. So a crap unknown brand one will get the attention voiding warranty for sure.

Dead on the money mate, the Flash Lube Catch Can has the highest CFM flow rate, ran one on my new MQ Triton, Mitsubishi gave the all clear from day dot, and I've had it on the Jeep since purchase.
Alot of the shiny, alloy cans with a wire mesh filter are next to useless on a diesel, you need a Filter Media to seperate the oil from the blow-by mist,
Just my 2 bobs worth

I wonder what Jeep Aus would say if you asked for approval?
Has anyone tried?

I actually run the flash lube for the reason of least restrictive flow rate, slightly easier to fit and sometimes cheaper. It’s just not a popular alternative on Jeep forums. Marketing will be play. With the tune it pulls from 500ml+ out of the line per 10k. All different of course.

I actually dismantled the valves on mine, since the original plumbing was straight through run I could see no reason for a valve to stop flow without causing dramas, I would like to be able to just vent it but it leaves oil stains on the concrete........
